2 months in prison for the creator of a virtual currency

PlexCoin’s creator of the virtual currency, Dominic Lacroix, will have to serve two months in jail for contempt of court . He and his company DL Innov will also be fined $110,000.

Lacroix was fined for continuing to solicit investors while a court order forbade him.

According to the Autorité des marchés financiers, the sale of the cryptocurrency would have returned more than $11 million to its creator, who promised returns of nearly 1400% investors he sought.

Earlier this week, the US Financial Markets Authority launched proceedings against Dominic Lacroix , 35, and his wife Sabrina Paradis-Royer, 26.

The organization urgently requests the freezing of their assets and the confiscation of the couple’s illegal profits.
